CANYON COUNTY FAIR EXHIBITOR’S GUIDE NOW AVAILABLE

Caldwell, ID – May 15, 2014 – Exhibitor Guides for the 2014 Canyon County Fair are now available at a variety of locations.

The Canyon County Fair Exhibitor Guides are available at any of the following locations:

  • Canyon County Fair Office
  • Caldwell and Nampa D&B Supply Stores
  • Ada County, Canyon County and Owyhee County Cooperative Extension Offices
  • Western Idaho Fair and Owyhee County Fair Offices
  • Caldwell, Nampa, Marsing, Notus, Parma, Middleton and Star Public Libraries
  • Area craft and art stores and senior centers.

The Exhibitor Guide offers a multitude of ways to get involved in this year’s festivities. “Competitive Exhibits are the heart of county fairs and are a fun way to share a hobby, show off a talent or meet other people with similar interests,” said Rosalie Cope, Canyon County Fair Administrator. Categories include floral design, art, needlecraft, historical, photography, hobby crafts, ceramics, china painting, fruits and vegetables, horticulture, canning and many more. There are also professional categories in almost all divisions, offering community businesses a way to showcase their talents. Cash prizes are awarded for winners.

Open Class exhibitors are encouraged to enter their handiwork online. Online entry deadline is Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. To enter online go to www.canyoncountyfair.org and click on the Exhibitors tab. You may also mail entry forms to P.O. Box 1269, Caldwell, ID 83606, or you can drop off your entry forms at the Canyon County Fairgrounds – 111 22nd Avenue, Caldwell, ID (upstairs in the yellow Fair Building). The exhibit arrival schedule has changed for the 2014 Fair. Exhibits in Needle Arts, Hobby Crafts, Ceramics, China Painting, Art, Photography and Historical will be accepted in O’Connor Field House on Saturday, July 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pantry & Kitchen, Canning, Beer, Wine and Cordial exhibits will be accepted in O’Connor Field House on Tuesday, July 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Flower Design, Horticulture and Fruit and Vegetable exhibits will be accepted in O’Connor Field House on Wednesday, July 23 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Canyon County Fair is right around the corner, July 24th through July 27th, with the Market Livestock Sale on July 26th. The theme for this year’s Fair is “Pig Out on Family Fun!”.
