Caldwell, ID – January 26, 2016 – – A select few leaders in the right place at the right time can make a huge impact on an entire community. The Canyon County Fair is experiencing some of the most exciting days in its 128 year history including fairgrounds expansion, increased attendance and year round facility rental. The Board of Directors is looking for visionaries to join them in shaping the future. The board is currently accepting nominations for two vacant board positions.
The ideal applicant can embrace change, while still honoring tradition; can keep one eye on the future while keeping the other on the details of today; and has the time and patience to deal with a variety of people. Qualified candidates have a desire to serve the community and time to attend a variety of meetings. Skills in one or more of the following areas are desirable: construction, marketing, event production or youth services. It is preferred that applicants live in Canyon County however, it is not necessary. If a candidate has strong ties to Canyon County and the community their application for appointment may be considered.
