ANNOUNCING AN ALL-STAR LINE-UP FOR THIS YEAR’S CANYON COUNTY FAIR CONCERT SERIES
The Canyon County Fair & Festival, scheduled for July 28 – July 31, 2011, will offer FREE concerts with your paid Fair admission.
Joe Nichols continues to prove how hip and relevant country music can be. With the aptly titled Old Things New, the award-winning, Grammy-nominated singer once again balances artistry with accessibility, applying his distinctive baritone to new songs that define country music for modern times. His first year out, he won the Country Music Association’s Horizon Award, the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Male Vocalist and CMT’s Breakthrough Music Video of the Year. Nichols’ hits along the way (to date, Nichols has accumulated three #1 and seven Top 10 hits) include “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off” and “What’s a Guy Gotta Do”.
Tracy stepped onto the stage and into the spotlight in 1991. Over the course of his career, he’s scored 17 No. 1 country singles including his signature song, “Sticks and Stones,” the all-time fan favorites “Time Marches On,” “If The Good Die Young” and “Alibis,” and his most recent, “Find Out Who Your Friends Are.” Tracy Lawrence is one of the premiere voices of his generation. A mature, sensitive and intelligent singer who strives to push the limits to be the best that he can be, as an artist and as a person, Tracy’s dedication to honesty and respect for country music and its heritage have enabled him to build one of the most esteemed careers in recent country music history.
During the ‘70s and ‘80s, Kansas put together a string of gold and platinum-certified hit albums, sold out tours, and penned two of classic rock’s most instantly recognizable (and enduring) tunes – the melodic-yet-rocking “Carry On Wayward Son” and the gorgeous ballad “Dust in the Wind.” 35 years have passed since the release of the group’s self-titled debut in 1974, and the band – which includes singer/keyboardist Steve Walsh, guitarist Rich Williams, violinist David Ragsdale, bassist Billy Greer, and drummer Phil Ehart – is stronger than ever, as proven by the new live DVD, ‘There’s Know Place Like Home.’
With the release of “Unmistakable: Love,” the first in a series of three EPs to be released in 2010, Jo Dee Messina steps firmly into the front ranks of country singers with staying power. “Unmistakable” is the next chapter in a career that has brought the Massachusetts-born singer to the heights of the genre she has loved since she was a little girl. She has sold over five million albums, had nine #1 singles, earned two Grammy nominations in addition to awards by the CMA and ACM.

Simplot Stadium. They’ve had 14 Top 40 hits like “No Sugar
Tonight,” “Clap For The Wolfman,” “Star Baby,” and perhaps their

Keith Anderson could be the poster child for the notion that good
things happen to good people. He’s quickly earned the reputation
of being an adept writer and dynamic performer; and his good guy
persona is as widely known as his high energy, let’s-get-this-
party-started live performances. With hits like “Every Time I
Hear Your Name,” “I Still Miss You,” “Picking’ Wildflowers,” and
“XXL.” Keith is sure to have the house rocking’ on Friday night!
Opening for Keith Anderson will be The Harters, a country trio
featuring 3 siblings, Michael, Leslie and Scott.
Clay Walker received his first guitar at age 9 and has been
making music ever since. With 10 albums, including a greatest
hits album, Clay Walker is sure to be a favorite at this year’s
Fair. He has charted thirty singles on the country charts,
including four Number One hits: “Dreamin’ With My Eyes Open,” “If
I Could Make a Living,” “This Woman and This Man,” and “Rumor Has
It.” His most recent single is “She Won’t be Lonely Long.” Walker
has participated in several forms of charity to help raise
awareness of multiple sclerosis including his own non-profit
charity, Band Against MS, which he founded in 2003.
The Little River Band 35th Anniversary Tour is coming to the
Canyon County Fair! Known for their melodic and harmony-based
rock/pop, the Little River Band released their debut album in the
US in 1976. By 1982, the Little River Band became the only act –
from anywhere — to have a top ten US single for six consecutive
years. Their 25th Anniversary Tour brings new energy and
arrangements to their classic hits like “Reminiscing,” “Cool
Change,” “Lonesome Loser,” “Happy Anniversary,” and “Lady” just
to name a few.
