The updated details are as follows: \n\nNew Venue: The Center\nAddress: 110 County Fair Ave\, Caldwell\, ID 83605\nParking: Free parking is available in the parking lot across the street from the Center’s entrance off County Fair Ave.\n\nThe event remains scheduled for March 20\, 2025\, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Residents are encouraged to attend to learn more about the county’s plans and to provide valuable feedback. \nProject Overview:\nThe Canyon County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has initiated a phased approach to constructing a new women’s facility on the 26-acre Pond Lane property in Caldwell. Originally purchased in 2007 as a potential site for a new jail due to its centralized location and capacity for future expansion\, the project was stalled after four failed bond measures\, leaving the property vacant. \nThe County now aims to work with builders to develop a phased plan\, with the first phase expected to accommodate up to 192 female beds.
