Program Requirements

  1. Complete Youth and the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) Training prior to July 23, 2026. YQCA is designed as an annual 60-minute education and certification program focused on food safety, animal well-being and character awareness for youth producing and/or showing pigs, beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits, and poultry.   2. Participate in Community Service at Canyon County Fair. Date ranges will be between July 13-20 and July 28-30. Service dates must be committed via email prior to July 10th and completion of community service will be required before market sale checks are issued. 
  3. Attend two (2) livestock-related events (prior to Fair dates) and email a brief summary of your experience to Ag Programs Coordinator. *If ideas are needed, please reach out via email to livestock@canyoncountyfair.org.
